The CABI Academy is pleased to announce that the 'confidence check' activities used in many of the courses, will be replaced on Wednesday 13th May 2026 with a new improved version of these activities.

Improvements

The interface will be easier for the learner to use, especially on narrow screens.

The 'start of section' confidence checker will be directly connected to the 'end of section' confidence checker. This means that:

  • You will only be able to complete the 'end' confidence check if the 'start' one has been completed.
  • Once you have completed the 'end' check, you will be shown how your confidence has changed since the 'start' check.
  • The data will be easier for CABI to analyse, which will help with changes to courses, and the development of new courses.
